Exciting Week!

Together for Five Years!

Trevor and I have been married for five years! I am so grateful for all his hard work these past years. It is because of his hard work that we have been blessed with all our experiences in New Mexico and looking forward to many more to come. He takes care of me after a long day of work by cooking dinner for me and cleaning up. He teaches a few hours each day to bring money in so I won't have to work so hard. He calms me down after a hard days work. He has a very strong testimony and fulfills his calling as Elders Quorum President. He has a big heart and is always willing to serve. These are just some of the reasons why I love him. I am very grateful for these past five years and am looking forward to walking side by side through life with him.

We Got Accepted!

This past week we got the official letter from Florida Institute of Technology. This college will provide Trevor with Forensic and Neuropsychology experience. He may also be able to get more experience in teaching. Once we got the official letter we were surprised to learn that he got a scholarship to the college. Each year we will pay about $30,000 a year in tuition and books. The school provided over $9,000 to help with expenses. This will allow us to have about $6,000 each semester that we need to pay and if we can pay $3,000 each semester that will cut out our debt in half. Every little bit of help from the school will help. Hopefully during this first year he will impress the teachers and be able to work with them during the following years. By working with the teachers Trevor will get more money.

I am just really excited to be living in Florida. In December I will still be able to sit out in the sun and get a tan! No more white Emily! We are also planning on spending Christmas in Florida and both of our families are going to be flying out. It will be fun to get to explore Florida and experience a new place together. The hospital in Florida is large and non-for-profit, which is good for me. I have had better experiences working at non-for-profit hospitals. Hopefully I can apply and interview for an ICU experience, however, I will be happy working at a step-down unit if needed.
